Eldon Money

Belews Creek- Mr. Eldon Franklin Money, 83, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center.  He was born October 2, 1935 in Iredell County, the son of George and Lovely Texana Jordan Money.  Eldon was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of American Legion Post #290 in King and was retired from Motor Convoy in Jacksonville, FL. He enjoyed life, loved to joke and enjoyed boating.  His favorite saying was “The two best days of my life was the day that I bought my boat and the day that I sold my boat”.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Peggy and his brothers, Harvey, Dewey and Earl.  Survivors include his sons, Keith Money of Walnut Cove, Phillip Money of Tampa, FL., Todd Money and wife, Judy of Walnut Cove and Jeffrey Money of Walkertown; two grandchildren, Dustin and Angel Money of Walnut Cove; a great grandchild, Dillon Money and his longtime companion, Peggy Riggs.  A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Gardens of Memory, Walkerton with Rev. Francis Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, October 29, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
