Donald Bowman

Walkertown – Mr. Donald Bowman, 80, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on October 22, 1941, in Stokes County to the late Ben and Eva Bowman.

He graduated from Walkertown High School in 1960. Donald retired from RJ Reynolds after 33 years of employment and has been a dedicated member of Gospel Light Baptist Church since 1972. He was married to the late Lavern Bowman and in 1962, they were blessed with two sons, John and David Bowman. In addition to his son, David, Donald is survived by his brothers, Steven Bowman and James Bowman (wife, Brenda); four granddaughters, Amanda, Amber, Macy, and Mia; three grandsons, Andrew, Hunter, and Jacob; and five great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ava, Landon, Alice, and Avery.

A graveside service for Donald will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 31, 2022, at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
