Billy Gray Troutman, a faithful member of Pine Chapel Moravian Church, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 18, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born March 1, 1937 to the late Raymond T. Troutman, Sr. and Edith Reich Troutman. Over the years, he served on the Board of Elders, Trustee and Usher at his church. He served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years. For 23 years he worked for Greyhound Lines. On December 22, 1956 he married the former Peggy Sue Wood. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry, Bobby, and Ray Troutman, and sisters, Betty Norman and Catherine Williamson.
Billy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy Troutman; son, Wendell Troutman; daughter, Rhonda Wrights (Billy); 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill loved football and traveling. He and Peggy traveled the East coast, Canada, and the West coast. His desire was for everyone to come to know Jesus. There will be no viewing but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
