Barbara Tilley

Ms. Barbara Jean Tilley, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born on May 12, 1944 in Richmond County, NC to Tyler Madison and Margie Taylor Tilley. Barbara was currently living at The Citadel in Winston-Salem at 1900 W. First Street. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed singing and dancing. Barbara loved to go out to eat but also liked to cook. She enjoyed singing and dancing as well. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by 17 siblings. She is survived by five children, Wendy Williams (Henry), Kenneth Norman (Debbie), Nancy Jenkins (Richard), Carol Beers (Francis), and Tina Rogers (David); 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Jimmy Tilley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Barbara will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Mary Long officiating.
